Bo Spalding

b_spaldingBo Spalding’s career began at The Atlanta Journal, where he covered government and business. In 1982, he joined Bank South Corporation and he co-founded Jackson Spalding in 1995 after working for a global public relations agency. In addition to his management role at Jackson Spalding, he works closely with clients, with special expertise in financial and banking services, speech writing and media, marketing and corporate identity strategies and issues management.

An Atlanta native, Bo is a trustee of the Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cancer Home, and the Georgia Press Educational Foundation and remains an active member and past president of the Kiwanis Club of Atlanta. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Georgetown University, as well as a bachelor’s in Journalism and a master’s in Business Administration from the University of Georgia. He stays involved at UGA by serving on the Board of Visitors and as a Fellow of the UGA Grady School of Journalism.

Bo lives in Decatur with his wife, Melissa, and they have three children. A train enthusiast, Bo has been known to fly cross-country just to hop on a train and come home. He also enjoys running, movies, reading, music, skiing, eating popcorn and spending part of his summer on a peaceful Canadian lake.
