Tom Sherrill

A native of the Atlanta area, Tom earned his B.A. from Georgia State University and his M.A. from the University of Virginia. After serving four years active duty in the U.S. Army, Tom returned to Atlanta and began his career in financial services. In 1984 he was a co-founder of Sherrill & Hutchins Financial Advisory, a fee-only financial planning and investment management firm. Tom serves as president of Sherrill & Hutchins. Tom served four terms in the Georgia House of Representatives. He chaired the Georgia Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, was appointed by the governor of Georgia to the Council on Aging, served on the board of Parent to Parent, and is presently serving on the board of the Atlanta Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association and on the board of directors of South Fulton Academy Charter School.

Tom is a volunteer with the St. Vincent de Paul Society, a Catholic ministry which works with individuals and families undergoing financial distress. Tom and his wife of forty-four years live in DeKalb County and have two daughters and two granddaughters.
